Not long ago, a new update for Pixel phones, Pixel Camera 9.2, was launched by Google. This update brings a revamped user interface and several new features to all Pixel devices via Google Play. The new interface includes a convenient carousel for Brightness, Shadow, and White balance options, as well as a Reset All button for quick adjustments. Additionally, the preferences panel has been moved to a bottom sheet for easier access, and the Palm timer now defaults to activation only when the 3 or 10-second timer is in use, with the option to set it to Always On.
Furthermore, new on/off toggles for Ultra HDR and Rich color in photos can now be found in the Camera settings > Advanced section. These features are novel additions for older devices, whereas Pixel 8 owners gain the ability to disable Ultra HDR. It’s worth noting that the camera app was recently rebranded from Google Camera to simply Google, to better reflect its exclusive availability on Pixel devices.
