آخر تحديث لتطبيق WhatsApp: قل وداعًا للرسائل غير المرغوب فيها مع ميزة حظر شاشة القفل

WhatsApp, a leading messaging platform, has rolled out a new feature to address the ongoing problem of spam messages that many users encounter. This update from Meta-owned app aims to streamline the process of blocking unwanted contacts directly from the lock screen, making it more convenient for users to manage spam messages without having to open the app.

Here’s what you need to know about this latest feature:
– To block messages from unknown contacts on your lock screen, simply long-press the notification and select the option to block the sender. If you want to report a contact, a second prompt will appear where you can tap the checkbox for “Report contact” and then hit “Block” in the pop-up window.
– WhatsApp already displays a warning under the contact details of any unknown number messaging you, giving you options to add, block, or report and block it right away.
– Users can also proactively block a contact by going to Settings on the Home page, then choosing Privacy > Blocked contacts > Add.

This new feature is a welcome step forward in addressing the issue of spam messages on WhatsApp. With just a phone number, anyone can send a message on WhatsApp, making it easier for phishing scams to target unsuspecting users. This update empowers users to swiftly identify and block unwanted contacts, helping to mitigate financial loss and protect personal data from compromise.

In related news, Google has initiated a pilot program testing a real-time app scanner to safeguard Android users from financial fraud. Additionally, WhatsApp is exploring the possibility of introducing cross-platform usability, potentially allowing users to send messages across different apps such as iMessage, Telegram, Google Messages, Signal, and more.

Stay tuned for more updates as WhatsApp continues to enhance its features and security measures!
