WhatsApp is finally rolling out a highly anticipated feature that will take event scheduling within WhatsApp Communities to the next level. Beta testers on the Android version of WhatsApp are starting to see this feature in action, bringing a new level of organization to group chats.

Here are some key details about this exciting new feature:

– The event scheduling option can be found in the attachment menu within a Community chat.
– You can generate and attach a WhatsApp call link, choosing between a video or voice call.
– Community members will receive automatic notifications about upcoming events and can RSVP accordingly.
– Event creators can modify event details, with all invitees receiving notifications about any changes.
– All Community events will be visible from the group info and community pages.
– Reminders for events will be sent out, and you can easily add events to your calendar with the Add to Calendar button.

WhatsApp is also exploring event scheduling for regular groups in addition to Communities. Currently, this feature is available for select beta testers using version 2.24.9.20 of the Android app. While it may still be in limited release, we anticipate that it will become more widely available soon.
