Costco Canada Membership Fees Set to Increase in September 2024
Get ready, Costco members! Costco has announced that there will be an increase in its annual membership fees starting this September. Here are the details you need to know:
Gold Star (individual), Business, and Business add-on members:
– New annual fee: $65 (previously $60; $5 increase)
Executive Memberships:
– New annual fee: $130 ($65 primary membership + $65 Executive upgrade; previously $120; $10 increase)
– Maximum Annual 2% Reward Increase: From $1,000 to $1,250
These fee adjustments will impact around 52 million memberships, with a majority of them being Executive memberships. In addition to the fee changes, Costco has also reported positive sales growth for June 2024.
For the five weeks ending July 7, 2024, Costco’s net sales reached $24.48 billion, marking a 7.4 percent increase from the same period last year. And for the first 44 weeks of the fiscal year, net sales totaled $210.55 billion – a significant rise from the previous year.
