This announcement comes at an opportune time following the launch of Xfinity’s new lower-cost unlimited plans that offer more data. Additionally, it coincides with the apparent end of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a government-funded initiative that provided discounts of up to $30 to households lacking internet access. The availability of faster WiFi through Xfinity’s hotspots could serve as an alternative solution in such cases.
