In November 2023, Bell initially rolled out its high-speed cable internet service in select regions of Québec, focusing on areas where fibre internet was not yet available. This initiative aimed to provide high-speed internet access to more communities and bridge the digital divide.
The cable internet service offers speeds of up to 400 Mbps, along with unlimited usage and a hassle-free self-installation process. Bell also provides all the necessary equipment directly to customers’ homes without any upfront fees.
Additionally, all internet packages from Bell include a Wi-Fi 6 capable pod. Customers can choose to purchase extra pods for additional Wi-Fi coverage at a monthly fee of $5, or opt for their own third-party mesh Wi-Fi solution.
While Bell’s pure fibre internet boasts speeds of up to 1550 Mbps, the new cable internet service at 400 Mbps represents a significant improvement for customers who previously had slower speeds.
