The iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 Plus have different battery sizes, with the Pro Max carrying a 4422mAh battery and the Plus having a 4383mAh battery. In browsing battery tests, the Pro Max lasted 19 hours and 20 minutes, surpassing the 16 hours and 21 minutes that the iPhone 15 Plus lasted. However, the iPhone 15 Plus led the video playback battery test, running video for 11 hours and 14 minutes compared to the 9 hours and 45 minutes tallied by the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 Plus might not have all the features of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, such as the Tetrapixel periscope camera that offers 5x optical zoom, but it does have a 6.7-inch OLED display, the Dynamic Island, and a 48MP Wide camera on the back. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Plus is cheaper, with a starting price of $899 for 128GB of storage, compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max starting at $1,199 for a 256GB model.
Apple has released a new ad for the iPhone 15 Plus, showcasing its long battery life. The commercial features an electrical outlet singing “Miss You” by Doe Boy, expressing its sadness, as the iPhone 15 Plus doesn’t need to be plugged in so often. Apple claims the device has the longest battery life ever on an iPhone, delivering up to 26 hours of offline video playback and up to 100 hours of audio playback.
You might recall that last year, Apple ran an ad for the iPhone 14 Plus that also focused on the phone’s long battery life, with a farmer using Apple Maps running on his iPhone 14 Plus. It will likely be seen on television, especially during sporting events and holiday specials, in the coming week.
