The foldable smartphone market is about to get another player as OnePlus is gearing up to release its first foldable phone, the OnePlus Open. However, recent rumors suggest that the OnePlus Open will finally be unveiled on […]
During a press conference, OnePlus teased the arrival of its foldable phone without providing a specific date. However, a reliable source, tipster Max Jambor, known for his accurate OnePlus predictions, shared on Twitter that the OnePlus Open will be launching on October 19th.
If Max Jambor’s information holds true, we can expect to see the OnePlus Open in action in less than a month. The device is rumored to feature a spacious 7.8-inch inner display with QHD resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup is expected to include a 48MP wide-angle lens, a 48MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 64MP telephoto lens, neatly tucked into a circular camera island design similar to the OnePlus 11. It is also speculated that the OnePlus Open will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The OnePlus Open is expected to be released in the US market, where it will likely compete with the likes of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Google Pixel Fold. While the price of the OnePlus Open is still unclear, it is hoped that it will be more affordable than its competitors, considering their current price tags of $1,799.
