Update for Galaxy Watch Owners: Say Goodbye to the Digital Neon Watch Face Bug!

If you own a Galaxy Watch, particularly from the Galaxy Watch 6, Watch 5, or Watch 4 series, you may have experienced unexpected restarts multiple times a day. But fret not, as there is now a fix available!

Reports of this issue started surfacing about two weeks ago when users across various platforms, including Samsung’s Community forum, began complaining about their devices restarting randomly. The common denominator in these cases was the use of Samsung’s Digital Neon watch face, leading to suspicions that this specific watch face was causing the problem.

According to SamMobile, it has been confirmed that the Digital Neon watch face is indeed behind these repeated restarts on Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 6 models. Samsung has acknowledged this issue on their Community forum in Korea and has rolled out an update specifically aimed at resolving the problem with the Digital Neon watch face.

To get this update and fix the Digital Neon watch face issues, simply open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone. Navigate to Watch faces, find the Digital Neon watch face, and look for the update button. Tap on it to download and install the latest version of the watch face.

In other news, Samsung has recently launched the first beta version of One UI 6 Watch for Galaxy Watch owners in the US and South Korea. Initially available for the Galaxy Watch 6 series via the Samsung Members app, this beta program will soon expand to include LTE versions and older models like the Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 series.

One UI 6 Watch brings along new health tracking features such as personalized insights from Galaxy AI, an energy score feature, and detailed sleep analysis. Enhancements in usability include a double-pinch gesture for quick actions, faster horizontal scrolling, and universal gestures for navigation.

Users can now conveniently manage notifications, adjust settings based on activity or location, and enjoy improvements like a modern default font and enhanced battery-saving options. While Samsung has not disclosed an official release date for One UI 6 Watch yet, they anticipate a rollout in the coming months based on feedback from the beta program participants.

If you’re interested in exploring these new features early on through the beta program, keep in mind that beta software may come with bugs and instability typical of such releases. Joining the beta will allow you to experience these upcoming enhancements before they are officially launched.
