Do you ever wish that someone, or something, could remember every important detail about you? Well, now the Google Bard chatbot can do just that with its new \u201cMemory\u201d feature.<\/p>\n
Unlike humans, who often forget the little things, Bard can remember key details about the people it interacts with. This feature can be toggled on or off, giving you the option to have a more personalized conversation with the chatbot.<\/p>\n
With \u201cMemory\u201d turned on, Bard can provide unique answers based on previous interactions. So, if you\u2019ve chatted extensively with Bard before, you\u2019ll get different responses compared to other users.<\/p>\n
While the feature is being gradually rolled out, Google has given us a glimpse of what it might look like. According to Google, \u201cBard can remember details across conversations, and use them to improve responses.\u201d Users also have the ability to manually add memories that they want Bard to remember.<\/p>\n
For example, you can tell Bard that you try to avoid eating meat, that you have two kids, or that you prefer shorter responses. This way, Bard can take these preferences into consideration when providing suggestions or answers.<\/p>\n
This is not the first time Bard has shown its personalization capabilities. In September, Google introduced Bard Extensions, which integrate with other Google tools like Gmail, Docs, Drive, Google Maps, YouTube, and Google Flights. By enabling these extensions, Bard can use information from these platforms to provide even better responses.<\/p>\n
For example, if you haven\u2019t had time to read your kid\u2019s school emails, you can ask Bard to scan and summarize them for you.<\/p>\n
