Announced at the Google I\/O \u201923 event, Android 14 brings a unique text-to-image wallpaper option for your phone. To access this feature, navigate to the Wallpaper & Style section and select \u201cCreate a Wallpaper.\u201d Pixel 8 owners (and eventually older Pixel models) will have two options to choose from: \u201cwith Emoji\u201d and \u201cwith AI.\u201d If you opt for \u201cwith AI,\u201d you will be taken to a screen titled \u201cChoose a theme to get started.\u201d Here, you can select from various styles such as Classic Art, Soft Focus, Mystical Botanicals, Collage, Dark Theme, Mood, Unexpected Landscape, and more. Once you have chosen a theme, a generic wallpaper representing your selected style will appear on the screen. At the bottom of the screen, you will find an \u201cInspire Me\u201d button (previously called Randomize at the Google I\/O \u201923 event). This button helps you overcome any creative blocks by generating a random image.<\/p>\n
Just above the \u201cInspire Me\u201d button, you\u2019ll notice a field to input your prompt. Here, you can describe your desired image, and the Pixel 8 will bring it to life. It\u2019s important to note that there are specific restrictions on the prompt\u2019s format. Instead of a blank field, you\u2019ll find a template that allows you to modify certain parts of the description. For example, you can request a \u201cLighthouse made of cotton in cream and orange.\u201d<\/p>\n
To provide a visual example, the article displays a photo. In the photo, the words \u201clighthouse,\u201d \u201ccotton,\u201d and \u201ccream and orange\u201d are underlined with dots. Tapping on each of these words takes Pixel 8 users to a sub-menu where they can select different words related to objects, materials, and colors to further refine their imaginations.<\/p>\n
After the AI-enhanced Tensor G3 processor performs its magic, you\u2019ll be presented with several variations of the scene you requested, all in the chosen style. Additionally, there is a section called \u201cYour AI Wallpapers\u201d that stores the wallpapers you generate, allowing you to revisit and appreciate them later.<\/p>\n

While this feature may not offer the same level of customization as tools like Midjourney and Stable Diffusion, it adds a fun and fresh dimension to the new Pixel line.
