The ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro are set to be officially unveiled on January 16. Initially, they will be available in China, but Asus is expected to launch both models in other countries shortly after.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019re a fan of the series and already own a previous ROG Phone model, there are plenty of reasons to consider an upgrade. The upcoming ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro boast improved specs compared to models launched 2-3 years ago, as well as a redesigned, non-glossy design. This is a welcome change from the previous ROG Phone 5, which was both massive and slippery due to its glossy back.<\/p>\n
Rumored specs for the ROG Phone 8 Pro include a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support. Inside, it\u2019s expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, up to 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of internal memory.<\/p>\n
In terms of the camera, the ROG Phone 8 Pro is rumored to feature a 50-megapixel main camera using Sony\u2019s IMX890 sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a third 32-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom.<\/p>\n
Both the ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro are reportedly IP68-certified, and will be powered by 5,500 mAh batteries with 65W fast charging support. They will also run on Android 14 right out of the box.<\/p>\n
