This feature will be discontinued on April 2nd, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>According to Twitch\u2019s official Help page for Watch Parties, the platform announced, \u201cWe will be removing the Prime Video Watch Party feature from Twitch on April 2, 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Initially developed during the COVID-19 pandemic to facilitate virtual movie and show watching among streamers and audiences due to lockdown restrictions, the Prime Video Watch Party has seen a decline in usage as restrictions eased.<\/p>\n<p>While the integration on Twitch allowed streamers to engage with their viewers while watching popular content like \u2018The Boys\u2019 or \u2018The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power\u2019, unfortunately, it did not gain as much traction as hoped post-pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Although Twitch is discontinuing this feature, subscribers to Prime Video can still enjoy watching eligible titles with friends virtually while chatting. Other streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, and more also offer similar group viewing features.<\/p>\n<p>It seems that despite saying goodbye to the \u2018Prime Video Watch Party\u2019, there are still plenty of options for subscribers to enjoy watching movies and shows together online.
