\n\u2013 While details on compensation for affected customers and the extent of the damage are pending, Bell aims to have services fully operational by tonight.<\/p>\n
The outage began on April 2, when a major fibre cable was severed during road construction north of Davis Drive. Jacqueline Michelis, Bell\u2019s senior communications manager, confirmed ongoing repair efforts to address the issue promptly.<\/p>\n
Bell\u2019s repair teams have been working around the clock to resolve the situation. Service restoration is expected between 10 p.m. on Thursday and 2 a.m. on Friday.<\/p>\n
As part of the restoration process, Bell deployed service vehicles to Yonge Street near Upper Canada Mall. The incident occurred as part of The Regional Municipality of York\u2019s road-widening project necessitating utility relocation along Yonge Street.<\/p>\n
