\n\u2013 This means quicker streaming, gaming, downloading, and web browsing for all Xfinity mobile customers when they\u2019re connected to WiFi.
\n\u2013 A significant portion (around 90%) of Xfinity Mobile\u2019s data traffic already runs on WiFi instead of cellular networks.
\n\u2013 With WiFi Boost and the existing 23 million WiFi hotspots, customers can look forward to an improved mobile experience, especially with high-demand applications that sometimes surpass regular cellular network capabilities.<\/p>\n
This upgrade is made possible by Comcast\u2019s fiber-based network and is part of a larger investment in its network over the past five years. Comcast has invested over $20 billion in upgrades and new features for both home and mobile customers.<\/p>\n
Kohposh Kuda, Senior Vice President at Xfinity Mobile and Comcast, shared his thoughts on this development: \u201cBy supercharging our hotspots, customers can get maximum performance from their devices. They can download large files, stream live events, or join video calls without any interruptions.\u201d<\/p>\n
This announcement comes at an opportune time following the launch of Xfinity\u2019s new lower-cost unlimited plans that offer more data. Additionally, it coincides with the apparent end of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a government-funded initiative that provided discounts of up to $30 to households lacking internet access. The availability of faster WiFi through Xfinity\u2019s hotspots could serve as an alternative solution in such cases.<\/p>\n
