Users have recently noticed that X (formerly known as Twitter) has started using interactions, inputs, and post results to train Grok\u2019s AI model. This feature is turned on by default, but users have the option to turn it off if they prefer.<\/p>\n
This new setting related to data sharing with Grok has caught the attention of social media platform users. Initially spotted by @EasyBakedOven, this setting was quietly introduced without any public announcement from X. It can be found within the Privacy and Safety settings under a dedicated page for the X AI platform Grok.<\/p>\n
Within the \u2018Data Sharing\u2019 section, users can find an option to \u201cAllow your posts along with your interactions, inputs, and results with Grok to be utilized for training and fine-tuning.\u201d The setting also mentions that these interactions may be shared with the service provider xAI for these purposes.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, users can easily disable this setting on the web version of X. Additionally, there is an option to \u2018Delete conversation history,\u2019 which likely erases any data used for Grok. To access these settings, simply go to \u2018Settings\u2019 and then \u2018Privacy and Safety.\u2019 Scroll down until you locate the \u2018Grok\u2019 menu. It\u2019s important to note that turning off this setting is also possible on the mobile version of X.<\/p>\n
