Rogers and Shaw have exciting news for internet users with the launch of a new tier offering blazing-fast download speeds of up to 2 Gbps. Here\u2019s what you need to know:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Rogers\u2019 new Pro tier provides download speeds of up to 2 Gbps and increased upload speeds of 200 Mbps for plans with at least 200 Mbps download speeds. Priced at $120 on a 24-month term, the plan reverts to $140 per month thereafter.
\n\u2013 Previously, the maximum download speeds were up to 1.5 Gbps with upload speeds of 150 Mbps.
\n\u2013 Shaw is also offering a Pro 2G plan with up to 2 Gbps download speeds priced at $130 per month on a 24-month term, then $140 thereafter.
\n\u2013 Both plans include free Ignite Streaming, which gives you access to a media box for streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, Sportsnet, and more.<\/p>\n
In April 2022, Rogers introduced 2.5 Gbps internet and upgraded customers on 1.5 Gbps speeds for free. They also launched an impressive 8 Gbps Ignite internet in select areas.
