La gamme Pixel 7 est configurée pour recevoir la fonction de saisie vocale Google Assistant du Pixel 8

Recently, Google has surprised the smartphone world by adding the Magic Eraser feature to older Pixel phones. Originally introduced to promote the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the Magic Eraser lets users remove unwanted elements from processed photos. Despite initial speculation that this feature would only be available on newer models powered by the Tensor chip, Google has made it accessible to all Pixel devices via the Google Photos app. Furthermore, even non-Pixel Android devices and iOS devices subscribed to Google One cloud storage can utilize the Magic Eraser.

In addition to the Magic Eraser, Google has introduced a new feature exclusively on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. This feature can automatically detect the language being used during voice typing. Users can seamlessly switch between languages, and the Google Assistant will adapt accordingly. The display will also indicate the last detected language through a “Language tag.”

Google’s support page suggests that this feature will extend to future Pixel models, including the Pixel 7 series. While the arrival date for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro remains uncertain, the mention of the Pixel 7 on the support page implies that the current Tensor G1 chip might not have enough power to enable this capability on the Pixel 6 lineup.

For users who plan to stick with their older Pixel devices instead of upgrading to the Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro, there is hope that features like Audio Magic Eraser (which removes unwanted audio noise from recorded videos) and the Magic Editor (which allows users to modify a photo’s background and rearrange subjects) will be added to older Pixel models.

Another feature from the Pixel 8 series that might intrigue older Pixel owners is Best Take. This AI-powered feature enables users to swap each person’s face in a group photo with a better image showing a smile, open eyes, or other improvements.

Stay tuned for further updates on the availability of these features on the Pixel 7 series and other older Pixel models.
