Les mesures de réduction des coûts peuvent avoir un impact sur les performances du modèle de base du Galaxy S24.

The entire Galaxy S23 lineup comes with UFS 4.0 storage, but a new rumor suggests that the base Galaxy S24 will stick with UFS 3.1.

The performance of a smartphone is not solely dependent on the chipset inside it. It is expected that the Galaxy S24 series will be powered either by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the in-house Exynos 2400, making them some of the fastest handsets on the market. However, the 128GB Galaxy S24 may experience slightly lower performance compared to the other models.

According to a long-time South Korean leaker, the 128GB Galaxy S24 will feature UFS 3.1, while all other models will have the more advanced UFS 4.0 technology. UFS 4.0 offers twice the sequential read speed and more than twice the sequential write speed compared to UFS 3.1. It also uses 46% less power.

UFS 4.0 translates into faster load times for apps and games, as well as quicker file-saving and benefits for memory-intensive apps. While UFS 3.1 isn’t a deal-breaker for most users, UFS 4.0 offers better future-proofing.

The standard Galaxy S24 models are rumored to come with 8GB of RAM, while the Plus and Ultra models will have 12GB of RAM, with a possibility that the vanilla models will have 12GB of RAM in some regions.

Samsung is expected to announce the phones on January 17th.
