The $25 million settlement has been reduced by $10 million for attorney’s fees, leaving $15 million to be split among those who file a legitimate claim. The maximum payout per person is $50. To qualify for a portion of the settlement, you must be a U.S. resident and have been enrolled in Apple Family Sharing with at least one other person between June 21, 2015, and January 30, 2019. Additionally, you must have purchased a subscription to a third-party app via the App Store during that time period.
To file a claim, visit the Walter Peters v. Apple website and choose to submit your claim online or by mail. If you received a letter with a Payment ID and PIN, you can use those to submit your claim online. If not, you can print out the form from the website and mail in your claim.
