AppleInsider has reported that iOS 18 will bring some exciting integration between the Calendar and Reminders apps for iPhone users. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:
– In the upcoming version of the Calendar app, set to be released with iOS 18 and macOS 15, users will now have the ability to create and schedule reminders without having to switch to the Reminders app.
– Simply tap on a spot in the Day, Week, or Month views within the Calendar app to set a new reminder or schedule an event. This streamlined process saves time and effort.
– When creating a new reminder through the Calendar app, users can add a title and leave a note for additional context.
– Reminders created in the Calendar app will function similarly to those created in the standalone Reminders app, allowing users to specify date, time, location, and priority settings.
– The integration between the Calendar and Reminders apps means that reminders created in one will also appear in the other. Notifications related to reminders will be centralized within the Reminders app.
– Keep an eye out for updates to the Calendar app’s user interface as well. Apple is expected to unveil more details about iOS 18 and its features during WWDC 2024 on June 10th.
Stay tuned for more exciting enhancements coming your way with iOS 18!
