An update to the Fitbit app for Android, version 4.01, is now being released. This update brings a live wallpaper and a redesigned step count progress widget. The previous widget selection provided by Fitbit was not in line with the Android Material You theme and the matching widgets offered by Google last year.
The newly redesigned step count progress widget resembles the tiles found on the Fitbit app for Wear OS. It also features a distinct color palette that is independent of your device’s dynamic colors and dark or light theme.
Another addition in this update is the “Fitbit Steps Wallpaper,” a brand new live wallpaper. This wallpaper displays your daily step progress in a clockwise-filling oval ring, reminiscent of a fluorescent light tube. It can be found in the “Live Wallpapers” section of the Wallpapers and Style app list and can be applied to your device’s home or lock screen.
Please note that the app update, version 4.01, may not be widely available yet. While some users have reported downloading the update from the Google Play Store, it may take a few days for it to reach all devices.
Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements to the Fitbit app.
