Les premiers prototypes d'Apple suggèrent des changements de conception potentiels pour l'iPhone 16

Apple may be considering significant design changes for its upcoming iPhone 16, according to a recent report by MacRumors. Rumors of a new vertical camera configuration for the iPhone 16 surfaced in May, and MacRumors’ preliminary prototypes indicate that the Cupertino-based tech giant is exploring various camera layout designs.

Two distinct camera layouts are allegedly being tested for the iPhone 16: an iPhone 12-style camera and an iPhone X-type design. The former features two cameras stacked one above the other, while the latter involves a pill-shaped enclosure for the camera lenses. It is rumored that Apple prefers the iPhone 12-style layout in its tests.

In addition to potential camera changes, Apple is reportedly looking to unify side controls across its entire lineup. The tech giant may introduce the Action Button, which debuted with the iPhone 15 Pro, to replace the Mute Switch. This button allows users to assign different functions and could gain capacitive capabilities to trigger functions with a simple touch.

The rumored capacitive “Capture” button is also being tested for the iPhone 16, which could serve as a shortcut for capturing videos and photos. The position of this button may replace the mmWave antenna cutout, with the antenna being relocated to the left side of the device, possibly below the volume controls.

It’s important to note that these designs are still in the preliminary stages, and Apple could make significant changes to the iPhone 16 design before its expected launch in September next year.
