Apple is set to release iPadOS 18 later this year, but not every iPad running iPadOS 17 will be receiving the update. According to a reliable leaker cited by MacRumors, iPads powered by the A10X Fusion chipset will not be getting iPadOS 18 when it is released.

– The 2017 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with the A10X Fusion chipset will not receive the update.
– iPads with the A10 Fusion chipset, including the sixth-generation and seventh-generation models, will also miss out on iPadOS 18.

The following iPad models are expected to receive the update:
– iPad Pro : 2018 et versions ultérieures
– iPad Air : 2019 et versions ultérieures
– iPad mini : 2019 et versions ultérieures
– iPad : 2020 et versions ultérieures

While the official introduction of iPadOS is set for WWDC in June, the release won’t happen until September. Apple is rumored to release new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro (2024) models with OLED panels and a powerful M3 SoC.
