Recently, Telus-owned Public Mobile introduced a fantastic $34/50GB 5G Canada-US plan, which caught the attention of many customers. This offer was particularly notable as it marked the first time one of the ‘Big 3’ carriers matched Freedom Mobile’s similar deal.

Following this promotion, we’ve seen some Fido customers make the switch to Public Mobile. However, Fido is not one to be outdone. They have come up with a tempting “winback” offer to entice their former customers back into the fold.

Fido’s latest offer includes a $29/month plan with an impressive 50GB of 4G data, along with unlimited nationwide calling and international messaging features. To sweeten the deal even further, Fido is waiving the $60 activation fee (which will be credited on your second or third bill). Some lucky users have also reported receiving additional perks like international calling as part of their “winback” package.

On the other hand, Public Mobile has made some changes as well. After discontinuing their $34/50GB Canada-US plan (replacing it with a $39/60GB option), they have also announced the end of their legacy rewards program. All customers will soon transition to Public Mobile’s new points system.
