Google is introducing a new noise cancellation feature in Google Messages to reduce background noise in voice recordings. This update will enable Google Messages users to activate noise cancellation when creating a voice recording, making it easier for the recipient to understand the message by removing distracting background noises.
The noise cancellation feature is particularly useful when recording voice messages in noisy environments, such as city streets. It effectively filters out car horns, police sirens, and other ambient noises, leaving only the clear voice of the sender for the recipient to hear.
The feature is currently available in the latest beta version of the Google Messages app (beta version 20231113_01_RC00). To check the app version, users can go to Settings > Apps, select Messages, and scroll to the bottom to view the app version number.
According to reports, the new noise cancellation feature significantly reduces background noise and can be activated in the voice recording dialog box before or during the recording. This update aims to improve the clarity of audio messages in Google Messages, ensuring that recipients can easily understand the content without being distracted by background noise.
