Xiaomi recently unveiled its new software platform, HyperOS, and has announced that it will be rolling out to nearly 100 devices in 2024. This move indicates a shift away from MIUI for the Chinese company, although some older Xiaomi phones and tablets may not be eligible for the update.
Last month, Xiaomi revealed its plans to release HyperOS updates for at least eight devices in the first quarter of 2024. The Xiaomi 13T Pro has emerged as the first smartphone to receive the long-awaited update, which is currently available for download to customers in Europe.
The update, identified by software version 1.0.3.0.UMLEUXM, is expected to expand to more countries in the near future. Users in Europe should ensure that they have at least 6GB of free storage space before attempting to download the update.
Aside from introducing new features and improvements, the HyperOS update also includes the December 2023 security patch. European users of the Xiaomi 13T Pro are encouraged to check for the update if they have not yet been notified of its availability.
In related news, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is also receiving the HyperOS update, although it is currently limited to India. This smaller update, roughly 2GB in size, brings the same December 2023 security patch and additional new features and improvements.
