Instagram is introducing a major update that includes new video editing tools, Reels improvements, and additional camera filters for content creators and us ...
One of the new features being tested is the ability to scale, crop, and rotate individual clips in the Instagram app. Additionally, the video editor within the app will now offer undo and redo options.
Another improvement to Reels is the option to pull from its clip hub to add clips with audio. Instagram has also added 10 new English text-to-speech voices and six new text fonts and styles in hundreds of languages.
As for camera filters, Instagram is testing the ability to create custom stickers from photos and videos in the Camera Roll, or from eligible content available on Instagram. This feature is powered by Instagram’s Segment Anything AI model.
In addition, new photo filters are now available in Posts, making it easier for users to edit photos and carousels. Instagram has also simplified the editing tools’ accessibility, improved previews on Camera Roll, and added the ability to zoom and search.
Finally, Instagram announced that in the coming months, it will introduce a new tool called Retention Chart, which will allow creators to see how many people are watching their reel “on a moment-by-moment” basis.
