Le nouveau PDG par intérim prend les rênes de PlayStation • Mise à jour de Phones Canada

Sony Interactive Entertainment has recently appointed Hiroki Totoki as the interim CEO of PlayStation, taking over from former CEO Jim Ryan. Totoki, who has been with Sony since 2013, will oversee the PlayStation division while maintaining his current position.

In a statement to VGC, Sony mentioned that Totoki will work closely with Chairman and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida to shape the future of PlayStation and find a permanent CEO. With Totoki at the helm, Sony aims to optimize sales and improve profit margins as the PlayStation 5 enters the latter half of its console cycle.

One of Totoki’s strategies includes releasing first-party titles on PC as part of a multiplatform initiative. By expanding their reach beyond consoles, Sony hopes to grow their first-party games and improve operating profits.

On the other hand, Jim Ryan bid farewell to Sony Interactive Entertainment after three decades of service. Ryan acknowledged the challenges of working in the U.S. while expressing his deep connection to the U.K., calling it home. Despite his retirement, Ryan reflected on his time leading a company that impacts millions of lives with its products.

As Hiroki Totoki steps into his new role at PlayStation, he brings with him a vision for growth and innovation in the gaming industry. Stay tuned for more updates on PlayStation’s future under his leadership.
