Phones Canada is excited to share the incredible journey of the Honor Magic 6 Pro. This impressive device was sent into the near space, reaching over 16,000 ft in the air and then parachuting back to Earth while playing a video throughout the 3-hour trip.

Despite the chilly temperatures of -0.4°F (-18°C) at such heights, the Honor Magic 6 Pro managed to maintain an impressive 86% battery level upon landing, starting its “space” trip at 100% battery levels.

What makes this feat even more remarkable is the phone’s “2nd gen silicon-carbon battery”. This innovation from Honor has truly proven its capabilities in extreme conditions. The Honor Magic 6 line, including the Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro, is set to launch globally at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

In addition to this groundbreaking achievement, Phones Canada is also excited about the upcoming release of the Honor Magic V2 and the Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design. The Magic V2 addresses some of foldables’ weak spots, featuring a sleek design with a 6.4-inch AMOLED cover screen that offers versatility and stunning brightness levels.

The successful near space journey of the Honor Magic 6 Pro was made possible through a collaboration with ‘Sent into Space’, a company specializing in commercial near space launches located in the UK. They have previously sent various items such as a bottle of vodka, Shakespeare’s portrait, and even a T-Rex toy thousands of feet into the air with balloons.
