Une surprise dans le top cinq des téléphones les plus vendus aux États-Unis en octobre

Counterpoint recently released its list of the top five best-selling phones in the U.S. during the month of October, and there was a major surprise in the results. Topping the list was the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which captured an impressive 24% market share. Following closely behind was the iPhone 15 Pro with 16% of the market, and the standard iPhone 15 with 13%.

Interestingly, the iPhone 14, not the expected iPhone 15 Plus, finished fourth with a 4% share of the U.S. smartphone market. The absence of the iPhone 15 Plus is not a surprise, as many consumers opted to spend extra on the iPhone 15 Pro Max to get additional features such as the Tetrapixel periscope camera, the “Titanium build,” and the 3nm A17 Pro processor.

The surprise came with the fifth-place device, which was none of the flagship Galaxy S23 models or the new Pixel 8 Pro. Instead, it was the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G, a mid-range device that captured 3% of the U.S. smartphone market in October. Equipped with a 6.6-inch LCD display with a 1080 x 2400 resolution, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, and a triple-camera setup, the Galaxy A14 5G offers impressive specs for its price range. The device is priced between $79.88 (with a wireless service plan) and $199.99, explaining its surprise appearance on the best-selling list for the month.
