Les clients de Public Mobile signalent des problèmes avec le programme de points : mise à jour de l'enquête du CPRST • Phones Canada News

Public Mobile, a Telus-owned company, is making changes to its legacy rewards program, much to the dismay of some customers. Complaints have been pouring in to the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS) regarding the new Public Points program set to replace the old rewards system.

The CCTS has acknowledged receiving complaints related to the transition since March. If you find yourself affected by this change, don’t fret! The CCTS is there to assist you in resolving any issues with your service provider. They recommend trying to reach a resolution directly with Public Mobile first, but if that doesn’t work out, the CCTS may be able to step in and help.

It’s important for providers like Public Mobile to inform customers about any modifications to their services and contracts. The CCTS can intervene in cases where telecom companies fail to properly notify customers about changes.

While the CCTS can address complaints about billing errors, contractual disputes, service quality, and credit management, they cannot force a service provider to alter their policies or practices. As Public Mobile customers prepare for the transition to the new Public Points program in May, some may notice changes in their bills due to differences in how previous bill credits are valued now.

In an effort to appease customers affected by these adjustments, Public Mobile has begun offering data bonuses of up to 240GB (with an expiration date) as compensation for the shift. Stay tuned for updates on how many complaints the CCTS has received regarding this issue once their reports are released.

If you’ve filed a complaint with the CCTS following discussions with Public Mobile about these changes, share your experience with us! Let’s stay informed and engaged as we navigate through these changes together.
