Samsung Partners with Google Messages in US – Exclusive News from Phones Canada Blog!

Samsung has made an exciting announcement regarding the messaging app on its Galaxy devices sold in the United States. The tech giant will no longer pre-install Samsung Messages and instead will be opting for Google Messages, in line with Google’s focus on Rich Communication Services (RCS).

Voici ce qu'il faut savoir sur ce changement :

– Samsung Messages has been a staple feature on Galaxy smartphones for years, but starting with the Galaxy S22 series in 2022, the company began phasing it out to support Google’s RCS initiative.
– While Samsung Messages does support RCS, Google Messages offers better integration and features, making it a more appealing choice for users. In 2022, Samsung made Google Messages the default SMS and RCS app on its devices.
– With the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, Samsung will no longer pre-install Samsung Messages on new Galaxy phones. Instead, Google Messages will offer a new and enhanced messaging experience for users.
– The notice distributed through the Samsung Members app confirms this change, stating that “Google Messages will provide a new and enhanced experience to express your emotions, making communication safe and fun.”

It’s important to note that while the US version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 does not include Samsung Messages pre-installed, devices in Europe and Canada will still come with the app.

Stay tuned for more updates on how this change may impact your messaging experience with Samsung devices!
