Économisez gros sur le Titanium du Galaxy S24 Ultra chez Phones Canada – 4x moins que l'iPhone 15 Pro Max !

Introducing the latest in smartphone technology: the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Both of these cutting-edge devices feature a titanium frame, providing increased durability and a lighter weight compared to their predecessors. However, the build quality of these phones varies, and we’re here to break down the differences for you.

In a recent test conducted by Zack Nelson of JerryRigEverything, both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Galaxy S24 Ultra were subjected to extreme conditions to determine which phone truly reigns supreme when it comes to titanium durability.

Nelson’s previous test on the iPhone 15 Pro Max revealed that its titanium frame remained intact after being exposed to high temperatures. The same experiment was then conducted on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which also showcased impressive resilience under extreme heat.

It’s important to note that while both phones feature titanium exteriors, they are not entirely made of this material due to cost considerations. The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s exterior frame is adorned with a cosmetic border of titanium, while its inner structure consists of aluminum with plastic in between as an intermediary layer.

An XRF scan revealed that the inner structure of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is made from 6061 aluminum, while its exterior frame boasts Grade 2 titanium. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s outer frame features Grade 5 titanium, which is known for its superior hardness compared to Grade 2.

Upon torching the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Nelson successfully extracted the titanium from it. He estimated that Samsung used $3 to $5 worth of raw material for its titanium exterior, while Apple utilized $10 to $15 worth. However, it’s important to consider additional costs associated with casting and shaping processes.

Ultimately, both phones boast impressive titanium exteriors that enhance their aesthetic appeal. However, Apple’s custom solid-state diffusion process and higher quality titanium may give its phone a slight edge in terms of durability compared to Samsung’s flagship device.

Stay tuned for more updates on these groundbreaking smartphones as we continue to explore their innovative features and capabilities!
