vivo Unveils New X100 and X100 Pro Flagship Phones

Chinese smartphone manufacturer vivo has officially announced its latest flagship devices, the X100 and X100 Pro. The company also plans to introduce a third flagship, the vivo X100 Pro+, in the first half of 2024.

The new vivo X100 and X100 Pro are powered by Dimensity 9300 processors, making them among the first smartphones to feature MediaTek’s latest chipset, which competes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Both phones boast a 6.78-inch curved LTPO AMOLED display with 1260 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also includes a built-in fingerprint sensor and a 32-megapixel selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout at the top middle of the panel.

While both flagships feature triple-camera setups, the configurations differ. The X100 includes a 50-megapixel IMX920 main sensor, a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom and OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens. On the other hand, the X100 Pro features a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony’s IMX989 sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera certified by Zeiss APO, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.

In terms of memory, both phones offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, but do not include a microSD card slot. The X100 is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, while the X100 Pro features a slightly larger 5,400 mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.

The vivo X100 and X100 Pro are available in black, blue, orange, and white, with prices starting at $550 and $685, respectively. Depending on the configuration, the prices can go up to $700 and $825 for the X100 and X100 Pro, respectively.
