According to the PlayStation Blog, players now have more control over their DualSense\u2019s audio with the latest system software update. Both the standard DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers will have access to new tools to customize the audio experience while gaming.<\/p>\n
Here are some key highlights of the update:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Control the on-board speaker: The DualSense speaker can now output higher volumes during gameplay, making in-game sounds and cues clearer. Voice chat functions will also benefit from this enhancement, allowing players to adjust controller speaker sound from the control center.
\n\u2013 Enhanced noise cancellation: The latest firmware introduces advanced noise cancellation to DualSense controllers using a new AI machine learning model. Button presses and game audio that would typically be heard in the background are now effectively suppressed.
\n\u2013 New Share Screen functions: Players can now interact with hosts\u2019 gameplay using pointers and emoji reactions. By sending pings or drawing lines to objects with a pointer or celebrating moments with emojis on-screen, players can enhance their Share Screen experience. Note that this feature is currently in beta and requires both host and viewer participation.
\n\u2013 PlayStation App compatibility: A forthcoming update for the PlayStation App will allow users to engage in Share Screen interactions directly within the app.
\n\u2013 Adjustable console power indicator brightness: Players can now customize the brightness of their PlayStation 5\u2019s console power indicator by navigating to \u2018Settings,\u2019 \u2018System,\u2019 \u2018Beep and Light,\u2019 and then selecting from \u2018Dim,\u2019 \u2018Medium,\u2019 or \u2018Bright\u2019 options.<\/p>\n
