Here are some key points to keep in mind regarding changes to T-Mobile\u2019s device promotions:<\/p>\n
\u2013 T-Mobile is updating how device promotions work, effective July 1st.
\n\u2013 Previously, if you paid off your EIP early, you would still receive Recurring Device Credits (RDC) for the remaining promo credit period.
\n\u2013 Moving forward, if you pay off your device ahead of schedule, you will no longer receive bill credits.
\n\u2013 Customers who prefer paying off their devices early to free up credit limits for new EIPs may be affected by this change.
\n\u2013 Devices purchased on a promo before July 1st will not be impacted by the new terms.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s understandable that some customers may find this change frustrating, especially in light of recent price increases. However, there could be reasons behind this adjustment:<\/p>\n
\u2013 T-Mobile may be aiming to prevent customers from reselling devices acquired through promotions.
\n\u2013 Encouraging customers to consider the Go5G Next plan, which offers yearly device upgrades.<\/p>\n
