2024 iPad Pro Rumors: Potential Pro Display XDR Upgrade for Enhanced Viewing Experience

Apple’s eagerly awaited new iPad Pro models are generating buzz with exciting rumored upgrades, including the potential adoption of OLED displays for the 11-inch and 12.9-inch versions set to launch in 2024.

One of the latest leaks suggests that buyers may have a choice between two types of glass for the display on Apple’s flagship tablet. The options could include a matte-glass display, a first for iPad Pro, or the traditional glossy screen that users are accustomed to.

While this information comes from a source with an unproven track record, it’s worth noting that Apple has previously incorporated anti-reflective technology into its Pro Display XDR. This technology minimizes reflections while maintaining high contrast levels, similar to what we might see on the new iPad Pro models.

If Apple follows its pricing trends seen with the Pro Display XDR, we could expect a premium price tag for the matte-glass option on the 2024 iPad Pro series. This increase could potentially push the base price of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro to $1319 and the 11-inch model to $959.

Given Apple’s history of introducing upgrades to its iPad Pro lineup ahead of its iPhones, it wouldn’t be surprising to see these advancements come to fruition in 2024. With rumors circulating about future iPhone models featuring anti-reflective and scratch-resistant displays by 2025, it seems likely that Apple is continually striving to enhance user experience across all its devices.
