T-Mobile has already been in the news constantly early into 2024, with another mobile network experience report from Opensignal being released today, proving that both Verizon and AT&T are not doing quite as poorly as it might appear at first glance.
While T-Mobile currently holds a substantial 5G download speeds advantage with speeds topping out at 204.9Mbps, both Verizon and AT&T are not too far behind with scores of 135.3 and 123.5Mbps, respectively. Both companies have made significant gains since July 2023.
On the other hand, T-Mobile is struggling with 5G upload speeds, and has dropped to second place behind Verizon. However, T-Mobile still leads in overall download and upload speeds as described between July 2023 and January 2024.
When it comes to the 5G experience and wireless coverage, T-Mobile has earned nine titles to Verizon’s five and AT&T’s one. However, Verizon has come out on top for 5G video, live video, 5G gaming as well as 5G upload speeds, although T-Mobile still maintains a lead in these categories.
For the network consistency, T-Mobile has managed to outperform Verizon, thereby securing the win for the wireless championship of January 2024.
