Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 Welcomes One UI 6/Android 14 Beta

Phones Canada is excited to announce that the first beta release of the One UI 6/Android 14 update is now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Flip 5. This update, which was initially delayed to October, brings new features and improvements to Samsung’s latest foldable devices.

The news about the One UI 6/Android 14 beta release for the Fold 5 and Flip 5 comes from reliable sources, SamMobile and Reddit. This beta release is a significant step towards the stable version of the update, which is expected to arrive in the near future.

It is worth noting that previous Pixel models received the Android 13 update in August last year, much earlier than the Galaxy S22 series. By reducing the time gap between the release of Android updates for Pixel models and Galaxy flagship series, Samsung aims to boost sales for the upcoming Galaxy S24 series next year.

If you own the Galaxy Z Fold 5 or Flip 5 and have subscribed to the beta program, you can install the update by following these steps: Go to Settings, select Software update, and then tap Download and install.

The firmware version for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is F946BXXU1ZWJ2 and weighs approximately 2.7GB. For the Flip 5, the firmware version is F73U1EU1ZWJ2. Both updates also include the October Android security patch to ensure the devices are protected against potential vulnerabilities.

Stay tuned for further updates and improvements as Samsung continues to work on the stable version of the One UI 6/Android 14 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5.
