Apple’s leaked photo of iPhone 16 Pro battery could lead to disappointment for consumers

According to a recent post on Twitter, a leaked photo of what is claimed to be the battery for an early stage prototype of the iPhone 16 Pro has surfaced. The battery features a glossy metal shell and comes with a 3355mAh capacity, which is a small 2.5% increase from the battery capacity found inside the iPhone 15 Pro.

The current stage version of the battery reportedly has a frosty metal shell and a redesigned connector. This news comes following reports of overheating and rapid declines in battery life for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Tech influencer Marques Brownlee shared his experience of using the iPhone 15 Pro, noting that the phone would get really hot and quickly deplete the battery while browsing through Instagram and listening to music.

While a 2.5% increase in battery life for the iPhone 16 Pro would be significant, it would surpass the 2.3% hike in battery life for the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Previous rumors had suggested much larger increases, but in reality, the actual battery capacity improvements were much smaller than anticipated.

It remains to be seen how these developments will impact the battery life and overall performance of the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro.
