Potential Disappointment with Galaxy A55’s Charging Speed, Potential Upside with AMD GPU Integration

The upcoming Galaxy A55 may not bring an impressive upgrade in terms of charging speeds, according to a report from SamMobile. The successor to the Galaxy A54 is expected to support 25W fast charging, the same as its predecessor, and may not come with a charging brick in the box. With no official confirmation on other specifications, insiders anticipate a 5,000 mAh battery and a 50 MP primary camera for the Galaxy A55, similar to the Galaxy A54.

In terms of the GPU, it is rumored that the Galaxy A55 will be powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset, which will feature a GPU developed in partnership with AMD. The Xclipse 530 GPU, based on the older AMD RDNA2 graphics architecture, is expected to offer better performance than the Mali GPU found in the Galaxy A54. An official unveiling is anticipated in March 2024.
