OnePlus Watch 2 Set to Debut with Wear OS at MWC 2024

OnePlus Watch 2 with Wear OS could debut at MWC 2024

The launch timing of a new smartwatch is generally easy to guess when it comes to industry veterans like Apple or Samsung. However, things are a bit more complicated when dealing with a rookie like OnePlus.

According to Max Jambor, a reliable leaker of OnePlus-related news, the Wear OS-powered OnePlus Watch 2 is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which kicks off on February 26.

This will be the company’s first smartwatch to come with Wear OS, positioning it to rival the likes of the Apple Watch Series 9, Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, and Google Pixel Watch 2 in terms of functionality and software skills.

Details about the OnePlus Watch 2 have been kept fairly under wraps, with only a few reports suggesting a circular design that may be a departure from the first generation. While it’s rumored to share components with the Pixel Watch 2, it’s still too early to speculate on specifics.

As for pricing, OnePlus is likely to offer competitive pricing against top smartwatches in the market. However, we’ll have to wait for the company to reveal the looks, features, and selling points of the smartwatch. It’s only a matter of time before OnePlus starts teasing the product, but the exact timeline remains to be seen.
