Discover the Cutting-Edge iPhone 16 Prototype with Advanced Rear Camera Inspired by iPhone X

The latest buzz surrounding the iPhone 16 prototype is all about the rear camera design. Here’s what you need to know:

– Previous rumors suggested that the non-Pro iPhone 16 models would feature a new design for the rear cameras, replacing the two diagonal camera lenses with two vertical camera lenses. This change was believed to enable spatial video recording for 3D playback on the Vision Pro.
– According to MacRumors, the latest prototype for the non-Pro iPhone 16 models features a pill-shaped camera bump with two rear lenses – a Wide lens and an Ultra-wide lens. This design resembles the setup of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini.
– The rear camera bump on this prototype is notably smaller than that of previous models, resembling the one used on the iPhone X.

Leaker Majin Bu recently shared illustrations of the current rear camera design for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, confirming Apple’s testing of this setup. Additionally, these prototypes are rumored to include a smaller mechanical Action Button similar to that of the iPhone 15 Pro, as well as a flush-mounted pressure-sensitive Capture Button that allows users to change zoom levels and control photo and video focus.

While there’s still time for Apple to make changes, it seems likely that the vertical camera setup on these non-Pro models is here to stay in order to support spatial video recording.

Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more about what’s in store for Apple’s upcoming iPhone lineup!
