Exciting Updates for Google Wallet: Amex Feature Still Missing on Fitbit

Google has exciting news for Google Wallet users! The latest update brings a host of new features to enhance convenience and functionality. While one highly anticipated addition didn’t make the cut this time around, there’s still plenty to be excited about. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from the latest Google Wallet update:

– Receive notifications directly within the app to stay informed about your passes, including flight boarding passes, event tickets, and loyalty cards.
– Customize your security settings for credit or debit cards used for public transportation, adding an extra layer of protection to your transactions.
– Scan QR codes and barcodes to easily add them as passes on your phone, simplifying the process of managing digital coupons and membership cards.

These updates are now available to all users, bringing added convenience and security to your payment and pass management experiences. However, one feature that was initially teased in the changelog but later removed is support for American Express cards on Fitbit devices. While this functionality was present on older Fitbit devices with Fitbit Pay, it seems to have been left out in the transition to Google Wallet.

Google has confirmed that American Express support is not part of the current update but has left the door open for future developments. While it’s unclear why this feature was removed from the changelog, users can look forward to potential updates down the line. In the meantime, enjoy the enhanced features that have rolled out with this update and stay tuned for more exciting developments from Google Wallet!
