At a recent Apple event, CEO Tim Cook made a stylish statement by sporting a custom pair of Nike Air Max 1 ’86 sneakers. This exclusive footwear was specially designed for the occasion, showcasing Apple’s ongoing collaboration with top brands.
The unique Nikes featured an off-white mesh body and sole, with eye-catching details like a “wave” effect on the mudguard and toe, as well as a rainbow-speckled pattern for a pop of color. Drawing inspiration from the Apple Pencil Pro, the design elements included decorative stitching around the Nike Swoosh and heel that resembled sketch lines.
To add a personal touch, the sneakers had the Swoosh logo on the tongue along with the handwritten phrase “Made on iPad,” paying homage to the event. Unfortunately, these custom Nike Air Max ’86s are not available for purchase and will remain exclusive to the event and Cook’s collection.
While we admire Tim Cook’s fashionable choice in footwear, some may miss Steve Jobs’ iconic New Balance kicks. It’s always interesting to see how tech leaders express themselves beyond their innovations.
