Cutting-Edge Foldable MacBook Expected in 2026: Featuring Large Screen and M5 Chip!

Apple may be diving into the world of foldable technology with the potential release of a foldable MacBook, according to TF International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Here’s what we know so far:

– Two screen sizes are being considered for the foldable MacBook: 20.25 inches and 18.8 inches, which correspond to a 14-15 inch laptop and a 13-14 inch laptop when folded.
– The device is expected to be powered by the M5 chip, a new addition to Apple’s M-series lineup.
– Apple is focused on creating a seamless, crease-free display for the foldable MacBook, with estimated costs of $600-$650 per unit for the displays and $200-$250 per hinge.
– LG Display will be Apple’s exclusive partner for display development, while Amphenol will take on the same role for the hinges.
– Due to the high costs associated with components, Kuo predicts that the foldable MacBook will be priced similarly to the Vision Pro model.
– Despite its expected high cost, Kuo anticipates that shipments of the foldable MacBook will exceed those of the Vision Pro, with over 1 million units projected to ship in 2026.

Exciting times may be ahead for Apple fans as they eagerly await more news about this potentially groundbreaking device. Stay tuned for updates on Phones Canada’s blog!
