Exciting Update: Android’s Digital Wellbeing App to Receive Refresh with Enhanced Features!

Google’s Digital Wellbeing app, a helpful tool found on most Android phones to monitor screen time, is receiving an update to enhance user experience and provide more control over digital habits. The changes were revealed by Assemble Debug on Android Authority after examining the beta version of the app.

Some notable updates include renaming “App Timers” to “App Limits,” a feature that allows users to set daily usage limits for specific apps. This feature will now have its own dedicated section within the app for easier access and customization. The “Dashboard,” which offers an overview of phone usage, will now be known as “View Activity Details.”

In addition, a PIN feature might be introduced to App Limits, providing an added layer of security by requiring a PIN code to modify the set limits. This can be beneficial for parents looking to enforce screen time rules for their children.

It’s important to note that these changes are currently in beta testing and not yet available to all users. However, their presence in the beta version indicates that Google is preparing to release them widely in the near future. With Google’s commitment to enhancing this app, it seems they are dedicated to helping users disconnect from their devices more frequently.
