Phones Canada is excited to share some potential new features coming to the Google Play Store that could make using Android apps even more convenient. Currently, when you install an app from the Play Store, you are presented with options to either uninstall the app, open it immediately, or continue browsing for more apps. But what if the app could just open automatically after installation, saving you a tap and some time?
According to code discovered by AssembleDebug and reported by Android Authority, a new feature called App Auto Open is being developed for the Play Store. Here’s what we know so far:
– In version 41.4.19 of the Play Store, code suggests that App Auto Open will automatically launch apps right after installation.
– A notification banner will appear for five seconds at the top of your screen when App Auto Open is activated.
– Users can choose whether or not to receive an alert or vibration when the notification pops up.
– The feature can be toggled on or off, with it being enabled by default.
This new feature could be particularly useful when you need to quickly access an app to complete a specific task. Instead of installing an app and then having to manually open it, App Auto Open will have it ready for immediate use.
While there’s no official release date for this feature yet, it’s clear that Google is considering ways to enhance the user experience for Android users. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development!
