About a month ago, users discovered that Google was working on a new voice setting for Gemini, although it was not yet functional at that time. This feature allowed users to choose between two different voices, separate from Assistant’s voice settings. Initially, it was unclear that this setting was intended for Gemini.
The new voice being introduced for Gemini is female, adding diversity to the options available. While AI does not have a gender, having different voices to choose from enhances the user experience and personalization of the assistant. This update may currently be in limited testing and not yet available globally.
While this update may seem minor, it is an expected refinement for digital assistants like Gemini. The ability to select the voice in which your assistant speaks is a standard customization feature that enhances user interaction. As more voice options are added in the future, users can look forward to choosing the tone and style with which Gemini communicates with them.
